Article 2 - Purpose of the service
GO4SIA is a conversational assistant built into the Go4School platform. It answers questions using the school's own data, strictly within the permissions attached to the role of the person asking: the assistant never gives access to information that person could not consult on their own inside the platform.
The assistant is not enabled by default. The school chooses the spaces in which it opens it, among: school and management, teachers, parents, students, owners, and network. Each space can be enabled or disabled independently.
The school may also set monthly consumption caps: an overall cap for the school, a cap per space and a cap per user. Once a cap is reached, the assistant stops answering within that scope until the following month.
Article 3 - Pricing
The service is billed per unit of consumption, called a token. Tokens are sold in prepaid packs. The unit price, quantity and total amount are displayed in the ordering flow before any confirmation, and a simulator lets the buyer check the breakdown before paying.
A commercial discount may be attached to a school or a school group; it is then applied automatically at order time.
[To be decided: price revision rules and the notice period applicable to customers under contract.]
Article 4 - Ordering and payment
Payment is made through Mobile Money (MTN or Orange) via our payment provider. An order goes through the following states: pending when created, paid once the payment is confirmed by the provider, then credited when the tokens are added to the balance. An order may also be marked failed or cancelled.
Moving from "paid" to "credited" requires validation by our team. Tokens are only available once that validation has taken place.
[To be decided: the maximum committed delay between a confirmed payment and the crediting of tokens, and the treatment of a paid order that is not validated.]
Article 5 - Token balance
- Tokens are credited to the school's balance once the order is validated.
- Where the school belongs to a school group covering several schools, the balance is shared across the group: every school in the group draws on the same stock of tokens. Otherwise the balance belongs to the school alone.
- Tokens cannot be transferred from one school or group to another.
- Tokens do not carry any expiry date.
[To be decided: whether unused tokens are refundable, in particular when the platform subscription is terminated.]
Article 6 - How consumption is counted
Each exchange with the assistant consumes a variable number of tokens. The count is based on three quantities measured by the model provider over the whole response cycle, including searches and data lookups:
- the text sent to the model — question, context and data consulted;
- the share of that text served from a cache, counted at one tenth;
- the text produced in reply, counted five times.
The total is rounded up. The remaining balance can be checked at any time from the school's space, and an alert is raised when it falls below a configurable threshold.
Where an exchange would consume more tokens than remain, the debit is capped at the available balance: it never becomes negative.
[To be decided: whether to publish the coefficients above, and the treatment of tokens consumed by an interrupted or failed request.]
Article 7 - Processing of requests
To produce an answer, the question asked and the data required to process it are transmitted to a third-party language model provider. As of today the service relies mainly on Anthropic's Claude models, with a second provider able to take over in case of unavailability.
Only the data required to answer is transmitted, within the permissions of the person asking.
[Must be completed from the provider contracts: country where processing is hosted, how long the provider retains content, whether that content is used to train models, and how this relates to the privacy policy. None of this can be derived from our code.]
Article 8 - Generated content and responsible use
The assistant's answers are provided for guidance only. They may contain errors and must be checked before any decision is made. The assistant does not replace legal advice, accounting advice or an educational decision.
The assistant never acts on its own: any operation it proposes takes the form of a draft that the user confirms explicitly. It cites the source of the figures it puts forward.
[To be decided: liability limitation clause covering generated content, to be aligned with article 10.]
Article 9 - Promotions and promo codes
Promotions (discounts, bonus tokens) may be offered on a temporary basis. Their conditions and validity period are stated when they are made available, and the value of the benefit is displayed before the order is confirmed.
Article 10 - Availability and limitation of liability
[To be decided in full: service availability commitment, consequences of an outage at the model provider, liability cap and exclusions.]
Article 11 - Governing law
These terms are governed by Cameroonian law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Douala, failing an amicable resolution.
